To keep our projects efficient we utilize a process of editing that starts with low quality "Rough Stitches" that we use to create our initial edit and make our creative choices. We'll show you the basics of how we organize our editing timelines in this video.

To make sure our In and Out points are accurate for our edit, we use a process called "Checkerboarding" where we alternate clips between two different video tracks. This makes it easy to insert fades while keeping track of exact clip length which is important for when the video goes into the cleanup phase of Fine Stitching and Master Stitching.

The complete class covers how to professionally stitch, edit and cleanup Monoscopic 360 (2D 360), Stereoscopic 360 (3D 360) and 180VR (3D 180) footage using Mistika VR, DaVinci Resolve and Fusion.
