Kakashi, Obito and Rin hanging out
Kakashi saw the death of 4 people who are really precious to him, Minato, Obito, Rin, and his father.
At a young age, Kakashi saw the death of his father and used the reason he died to use it as a life lesson. Complete the mission, instead of actually helping your comrades. Kakashi was a very quiet person and really thought life was terrible. Later on, Rin got captured and Kakashi used his ideologie, and had a confrontation with Obito about saving Rin. Then changing his mind, Obito and Kakashi acted as a proper team where they can rely one each other. After capturing Rin, they were trapped, and Obito was crushed by a rock after trying to SAVE Kakashi. Obito gives Kakashi one of his eyes and promising Kakashi that he will protect Rin with his life. That is when Kakashi really feels pain. The Sharingan he obtained, was like a curse mark, where ever he goes, he has something on his body that reminds him that his close friend died trying to save him. Furthermore, Rin was captured and had a beast sealed inside of her, Kakashi goes an saves her, and while trying to protect her, she jumpes infront of his chidori and gets hit in the heart. Obito saw this, so now the Mangekyo Sharingan was awakened. The Mangekyo Sharingan is a symbol for Kakashi, it is pain. Everyday his Sharingan reminds him that he did not save Rin after promising Obito that he would protect her. Lastly there is Minato, a sensei he admired, the last person in his team, the only person that can somewhat help him from his loneliness, had died protecting the village. Kakashi has one of the greatest developements and back stories in the Naruto series.
