There isn’t a drastic difference between the two, except of course that one is an anime and one is a manga.
The biggest difference is that the anime shows the 104th Cadets training much later than the manga. In the manga, we see Tross being breached before getting a very long flashback to the training.
Also, in the anime, Annie laughs hysterically when she’s (SPOILER ALERT) confronted about being the Female Titan. This is because Isayame originally had her laughing in the manga, before cutting it out and regretting it later. He then requested that it would be put back into the anime.
Also to do with Annie, in the manga, Eren gets his butt kicked in their fight. Instead of Eren slowly getting upper hand, Annie anayaltes him. Eventually, he stops fighting when Mikasa swoops in to help, and Annie only crystallises herself when the Survey Corp try to take her out, instead of crystallising while Eren was fighting her, like in the anime.
Another slight difference is that in the manga the gear they use to kill titans is called ‘Vertical manouvering gear’ instead of ‘Omni-directional mobility gear’. This is because the anime producers were forced to use a different name.
Also, Sasha has a much bigger part in the anime. This is because of her unexpected popularity. For example, she was the messanger in season 2, and was on the Armoured Titan when they were talking to Bertold.
A few other things like a few differentiations in lines/words, art style being a bit different (Jean still looks like a horse though) and that the manga is MUCH further ahead of the anime. So, I guess there are actually quite a few difference, except that they aren't particularly significant.
Well, we’ll have to wait til season three to see if the anime sticks to source material.
