Light Yagami and L being gay for 13 seconds

The scene where L gives Light a foot massage when they were out of the rain. Light finds this weird but L just says "It is the least I can do to atone for my sins". We can think that this scene is actually a metaphor for how in the the Bible, Jesus cleaned Judas's feet right before Judas betrayed Jesus Or... maybe is symbolic to Luke 7:38. where a woman was washing Jesus's feet with her hair and tears.
"Then she knelt behind him at his feet, weeping. Her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them off with her hair. Then she kept kissing his feet and putting perfume on them."
The manga is constantly stressing that Light doesn't like women. And no, this doesn't have anything to do with him being Kira - it's revealed early on that (before he picked up the Death Note) Light had told girls in high school that he just wants to focus on his studies so won't be dating until college. And while he's Kira, time and time again he manipulates women who like him while internally (or actively) rejecting them. Light is simply not heterosexual, period.
Obviously, Death Note doesn't explicitly say Light is gay, so it's a matter of interpreting it how you want. The real question isn't whether Light is explicitly gay, because there's no evidence of that, and rather if he might have either been intentionally implicitly written as gay (at least if the author was self-aware of the possibility) or if it is simply a reasonable interpretation for a fan to make reading between the lines. But what is kind of interesting is that Light is more interested in the male characters. Not just L, which is kind of obvious, but he seems to have way more positive feelings toward Mikami than he does Takada, which is a little strange considering the pair are virtually equals in terms of intelligence and ethical drive. There's an interesting little scene toward the beginning of the manga where Light is hanging out with some male friends in high school and asks one of them to send him a New Year's card, and the friend says "sorry, I only send them to girls". Misa also flat-out accuses L and Light of being gay during the first handcuff scene, which suggests the author is aware of the possibility and even is suggesting the possibility to the audience. With L, there's furthermore some weird little things here and there, for example, the fact that the manga specifically states that in the task force HQ, there are cameras absolutely everywhere except for the bedroom Light and L share.
So in conclusion, Death Note never states that Light is gay, so there's nothing canon here. But what is canon is that Light consistently doesn't like women, and that there's a good chance Ohba was deliberately alluding to the possibility that Light might be gay (joke or not). It's also a reasonable interpretation when reading between the lines. But since there's nothing explicit, it's just as reasonable to conclude Light is asexual.
