Accutane Diary: Day 31 (Week 5, Month 2)
It's day 31, week5, and the beginning of month 2 of my Accutane treatment, also known as Isotretinoin or more specifically for me, Claravis. I have a dermatologist appointment on day 33 to get another prescription. I'm not sure what dose I'll be on but in the past month I've been on 2 pills of 30mg, so 60mg. My eyes have been getting very itchy and dry so I've been using eye drops, which take care of it. My nose has been very dry and I've been getting nosebleeds. What I've been doing is spraying Saline solution in my nose which really helps moisturize and clear my sinuses, then I apply antibiotic cream in my nose with a q-tip and now my nose is fine. My feet are not dry or cracking or peeling anymore thanks to Vaseline. I've also been using Kiss My Face Honey Calendula Ultra Moisturizer for extra dry skin for my feet and the rest of my body. My body has been getting dry and itchy too. My back hurts depending on how I lay or sit. I talk about a big breakout I had involving Ponds Dry Skin Cream. I switched my skin routine though and I am now using Yes To Carrots Daily Cream Facial Cleanser and I've also been using Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream and they are both amazing.
