Backrooms - new found footage - then something unexpected happened - the reaping - with blender
It's just a month ago that I discovered backrooms videos from Kane Pixels. I got hooked up by their appearance and simplicity, though still being so realistic looking and gripping at the same time.
I figured, it should be quite easy to realize with geometry nodes. I even got some nice ideas I guess for the storyline. And the inherent low resolution of the video even reduces render time. I couldn't resist. I simply had to do it.
But I didn't want to stick with the old VHS video look. I wanted it still old looking, but not that old. Call it an artistic freedom.
I would like to tell you much more, what I went through during the process of making, but I can't.
Otherwise the video would get spoiled.
This is the longest video I did so far although rendering the frames was quite fast. It was a lot of fun to do and I am happy with the outcome. I hope you like it too.
