I love this video, it just reminded me of everything I love about ebay! It is such a great great thing for so many reasons, wearing brands you can’t afford normally, saving money on everyday items and getting items of great quality. Less waste for the earth! I mean honestly, the list goes on. So please please PLEASE have a watch then have a go! And show me! I would be so delighted to see what you guys managed to bag! Let me know in the comments, or better yet send me a picture on instagram (details below). It genuinely means so much to me, so if I can get at least one of you on it, that is enough for me!
I will apologise now for how scatty this video is, but it is what it is haha. I did end up forgetting this so I’ve listed them below for you!

How to sell on eBay like a pro

Forgotten tips…:

Obviously you have to be prepared to lose items. You will be outbid at some point ok. Disappointment is part of the package.

Remember eBay has a buyer protection so if you do get a dodgy item that was not described properly or shown in the photos. EBay will immediately get involved, if needed! Personally, I would contact the seller first, sellers make mistakes. And most will be happy to resolve it with you. However, you do get the odd naughty one haha, so that’s when you can ask ebay to deal with it on your behalf. You can actually call them too, without waiting and you can speak to an actual person.

EBay will always remind you when an auction is about to end. But it usually reminds you 14 minutes before. So put an alarm on your phone for 2 minutes. Get ready and CONFIRM your bid in the last 10 seconds. You will get accustomed to the anxiety haha.

I know this is asking you to be super organised. But sellers do list out of season (not great for them but their mistake ha) so it’s a great way for you to get items super cheap for the next season. I got my sandals in February super cheap because who wants sandals in February!

Now here is what I actually went through in the video ha!

Ebay is an auction site! So set your limits and stick to them.

ALWAYS add postage into the over all cost. Because this is how much you ARE ACTUALLY spending!

Always take note of postage. Ask if you think its inflated and check yourself online.

Check the sellers other items, you may find other items you like, and majority of the items will be your size, sellers sell their stuff and their kids, so sizes will be the same. This is how you can really save on postage. Ask the seller if they will combine postage for you. Most will. Just remember to never pay! Wait until you’ve got all your items, and let the seller know youre done so the can combine them all and send you an updated invoice.

Remember to shop responsibly as in, know what you are buying because returns come at a cost if sellers even offer returns, a lot don’t.

Search specifically.. know your sizes and your brands!

Make use of the filters.

Don’t be put off by bad photos and bad descriptions. This is where you can really grab a bargain ok. Just talk to the seller, ask as many questions as you can.

Most listings end on Saturdays and Sundays, but the best bargains can be found at ‘odd’ times. Listings that end at stupid o clock on a weekday, ones that end in the middle of the month, this is something to always look for, if not actively search for.

If you like something, watch it. See how it goes. So many sellers will take offers on things that have resisted over and over again. REMEMBER there is a high chance you can lose items this way, so when I say watch it, I mean actually watch it.. check the listing regularly for watchers and bids.

Remember when offering, sellers can inflate the minimum they are willing to take because by offering you are literally telling them you want it and you want it now. So sometimes it can be a better cheaper option to bid at the minimum.

EBAY bids for you! Get in there at the last 10 seconds and let ebay do the rest ok.

Whack in a an odd maximum ie £12.48. This seems to work fairly well haha.

And last up, ill say it again. Remember you will lose out on stuff, its all part of the game ok.

There are other reselling sites, so if you miss, lose or can’t find an item you desperately wanted/want, then check the other sites. You never know.
