I appreciate this video was a bit of a wait, but I hope the wait was worth it!
Some more info...
So all three houses are run completely off of solar panels, I actually never showed the batteries because at the time, I didn't know what or where they were ahaha. But there are 24 huge batteries that will hold energy over night. Now we never allowed them to go below 50%, but I would say they could hold up to three days worth of energy. And that's for the use of the main house. So think cooking, washing machine and pool etc etc...
Now the toilet thing haha. So its a septic tank and goes back into the ground.. so no, no toilet paper or sanitary products down the toilet.
Which leads me to the all natural cleaning products / toiletries, again this water all goes back into the ground, so no bleach or chemicals of any kind. All shampoos conditioners etc has to be natural too. I know what youre thinking, about my skincare haha, so basically I just removed everything with micellar water then washed my face. Toothpaste was another thing we had to go natural for.
Obviously there is so much more to explain and show, its a very different way of life, so I hope to show you one day what its like day in day out. I am sure if you have watched the video you would have seen the memorial page I did for our lovely dog, unfortunately his health declined rapidly about a two weeks after we arrived, so I felt that 'vlogging' was just not right.
