If your Steam Deck no longer has individual sliders for limiting the Framerate and Refresh Rate, then you're not alone.
And in today's video I'll be showing you how to configure Steam OS so that you can adjust them separately.

See, when Valve released version 3.5 of Steam OS, they changed this framerate slider.
By default, the Steam Deck will have these sliders unified as that will allow the system to pick options that were not available before.
They gave an example in the changelog about using this unified slider to enable frame tripling of a 20FPS game so that it can be displayed on a 60Hz display.
And while this new unified slider setup may be ideal for most users, there are some people who would rather have the ability to control them separately.
Thankfully, this can be done with a simple toggle that Valve has added to the Settings menu of the Steam Deck.
So we can get back these individual sliders by first pressing the Steam Button.
Then we're going to select the Settings option down here.
And from here we're going to dive into the Display section.
Valve may end up changing where this toggle is located within this menu, but for now it's located at the bottom.
So simply scroll down all the way and you should see the toggle for a Unified Refresh Rate management system.
Once this feature has been toggled off, we just need to press the 3-dot ellipsis button and check out the Performance tab again.
Now, instead only having one slider to adjust the Framerate and Refresh Rate, we have two that we can control individually.
