Summary
~~~~~
NVIDIA has just released an installation script to help automate the process of getting GeForce Now up and running on the Steam Deck.
This script basically automates a new process for us, and it works by first rebooting the Steam Deck into Desktop Mode.
So let's press the Steam button on the left, here.
Select the Power option to bring up the Power Menu.
And then choose Switch to Desktop from here.
Next, we need to visit a specific website on the NVIDIA website.
So I'll launch Firefox since I have previously installed it on my Steam Deck
But you may not have a browser installed yet.
If that's the case, launch the Discover application and then download your web browser of choice.
Now, load up this page on the NVIDIA website.
I'll be sure to include the link to this page in the video description below.
Download the setup script for GeForce Now.
Extract its contents.
And then launch the file to begin the installation process.
We'll see a prompt appear like this.
And just need to click the Yes button to confirm the install.
When all of that has been completed.
Let's exit out of Desktop Mode and switch back to Gaming Mode on our Steam Deck.
Check the non-Steam Library tab and you should now see a new entry for GeForce Now.
Just about everything has been setup for you.
We will just need to login and then we'll be able to stream games with GeForce Now on the Steam Deck.
However, as it currently stands, we are unable to use the trackpad to control the mouse, here.
So while GeForce Now is open, press the Steam button on the left, here.
Select Controller Settings from this menu.
From here, we need to change the Current Button Layout to Gamepad with Mouse Trackpad.
And then, we'll want to click on the Edit Layout button.
Then choose Trackpads.
So that we can change the Click entry for the Right Trackpad behavior over to the Mouse - Left Mouse Click option.
And there we have it.
GeForce Now is fully setup and configured to work with the trackpad properly.
