A piecewise function is an Algebra function that is evaluated differently for different intervals of x. In this video we will show how a piecewise function is graphed and how a function can be written from a graph. We also will show how to evaluate a piecewise function for different values of x. One of the most common uses of piecewise functions in real life math is in evaluating tax brackets where the amount of tax is evaluated differently depending on the range of income.
