End behavior of a function refers to observing, through graphs and tables, what the y-values do as the value of x approaches negative infinity or positive infinity. As a result of this observation, one of three end behaviors will happen. First, as x becomes very small or very large, the value of y will approach negative infinity. Secondly, it may approach positive infinity. Finally, it may approach a number.
