Indulge In A Mermaid Milkshake Bath Soak! Dive Into a Deep Sea Spa!
Today I'm showing you how to make a mermaid milkshake bath soak.
This is a very loose recipe; you don’t have to follow it even close to get great results. Use this video for ideas, inspiration, and as a reference to formulate your own recipe with ingredients you already have on hand.
Every ingredient is optional. Use many ingredients or a few. It may impact the final bath soak but will not diminish the bath soak experience!
RECIPE: 1 tablespoon of the following: baking soda, citric acid, sodium alginate, coconut milk powder, yogurt powder, honey powder, vitamin C powder, kaolin clay, 1 teaspoon sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (SLSa), 1 cup dendritic salt, 10 milliliters fragrance oil, and 1 milliliter polysorbate 80.
The baking soda and citric acid help the pouring consistency and add a bit of efflorescence. The SLSa adds a bit of foam and lather. The sodium alginate softens the water (substitute it with guar gum or xanthan gum). The rest of the ingredients are beneficial to skin. You may use a different salt *** The more dendritic salt you add, the better/quicker it will dry. Use fresh and dry salt that's free from moisture.
Sieve dry ingredients together. Mix wet ingredients separately. Add wet ingredients slowly while whisking. Mix the mixture with your hands well so ingredients are thoroughly incorporated. Lay mixture flat to dry for 24 hours. Fill your container & pack it well. Place a shrink wrap bag on top and heat it. Cut the excess off.
