SUSTAINABLE MODERN DUPLEX - EP 2: FRAMING WITH ZIP SYSTEM
This is a new Hugo Builds series following the construction of a new sustainable, eco-friendly, fossil-fuel-free duplex house build for our friends. This is a custom, green construction. We will show you the construction process from beginning to end. We started building in August 2023, in Ottawa, Canada.
This episode shows you the entire framing process for a sustainable, air tight construction up to the roof trusses. We go over how the framers frames the walls from marking the top plate, to lifting the walls. For this build, we are using Huberwood ZIP system which is an insulated sheathing product. You tape all the seems with ZIP system tape and it replaces TYVEK.
