JoJo Reanimated Collab | Stand Proud Sc. 25 & Bloody Stream Sc. 19
When first finding out about the JoJo Reanimated collab, I knew I had to jump on board with the project! JJBA has been one of my more favorite and recently discovered anime/manga. Believe it or not, I didn't discover it by the memes. The JoJo OPs (openings) also happen to be one of my favorite aspects of the anime.
For the project, I landed on reanimating the 25th scene of Stand Proud (OP 3), featuring Jotaro Kujo and Star Platinum, as well as the 19th scene of Bloody Stream (OP 2), which involves the Pillar Men, Joseph Joestar, and Caesar Zeppeli.
These scenes were made for the JoJo Reanimated collab, which was an ambitious reanimate project planned to recreate all of the openings of the series. This project was created to celebrate Joseph Joestar’s 100 birthday, which, according to the manga, fell on September 27th, 2020. Unfortunately, [as of 2/11/2022] the collab has been cancelled by the host. This time around, I thought it was a bit more challenging than other scenes I've recreated, as I usually want to improve the scenes or bring out a humorous aspect. I feel like the majority of scenes in the JJBA OPs are pretty well polished and detailed already. I felt like I wanted to drag out some of the “cooler” aspects of JoJo, but also sneak in some “small-ish” references.
