How to setup Networking on Windows XP

This video covers the steps to setup network on Windows Xp. This step applies only if you're computer is not in a network environment.
Please follow the step by step instruction below.
1. Click on "Start"
2. Select "Control Panel"
3. Select "Network Setup Wizard"
4. Click "Next"
5. Click "Next"
6. Click "Next"
7. Fill in the "Computer Name" field with the name you want shown on the network.
8. Click "Next"
9. Fill in the "Workgroup Name" of your workgroup. (ex. Workgroup, MSHOME, or the company name)
10. Click "Next"
11. Select "Turn on file and printer sharing" and click "Next"
12. Click "Next"
13. Select "Just finish the wizard; I don't need to run the wizard on other computers" and click "Next"
14. Click "Finish"
After you have completed the Network Setup Wizard depending on the Windows Service pack it may not need rebooting and if it asked to reboot please do so. Now you're a part of network if you weren't so already. Please follow our other videos to set up SMB scan.
