Dear YouTube Viewers,
What makes Social Media so addictive?
Social media addiction is one of the major problems in today's generation of the internet, especially in teenagers.
Social media enable us to connect with people around the world and build relationships by mutually sharing photos, videos, and posts. they provide a great way for learning, interacting, and marketing.
Popular Social Media apps - Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, Telegram, LinkedIn, etc.,
The Real Reason for the addiction is that social media usage releases a neurotransmitter called DOPAMINE. Dopamine plays a role in how we feel pleasure. It's a big part of our uniquely human ability to think and plan.
We keep scrolling for hours on social media apps, feel happy when someone likes our posts or give positive feedback on us. They use hook strategy to keep on engaged as long as possible!
The urge for dopamine causes social media addiction, which is associated with a number of mental health disorders like loneliness, frustration, depression, isolation, unhappiness, reduced decision-making skills etc.,
I am personally working for a way to bring my social media usage to a healthy limit, and I strongly believe it will help you too. The video on it will be uploaded in the next part.
