Ep 012 - Dome Motor Assembly Replacement
With the dome jamming when rotating, we're upgrading the wheels and belts on the motor assembly. This proved more challenging than first thought, as the wheels are wider and required the dome to be modified to make them fit.
We also addressed one of the underlying issues which was causing the belt to come off on one of the motors in the first place, and we also replaced the spring tensioners in the dome as well.
Resolving these issues, along with the replacement wheels around the dome from the last episode has resolved the rotation issue.
NOTE: Wear safety gear when cutting/filing fibreglass. I wore a face mask, safety goggles, leather gloves. Probably could have done with a long sleeve shirt too.
