Ep 045 - 3D Printing - AllSkyCam Gasket - make your own silicon gaskets and o-rings
I wanted to make a silicon gasket for my AllSkyCam dome, rather than silicon around the dome each time I wanted to remove/replace/clean it.
With a bit of 3d-printing, I made a mould (or mold if you're american) and cured some silicon in it. Worked pretty nicely. Won't know how it performs in the real world for a while until the next time I pull apart the AllSkyCam though.
My 3D Printer only has a bed size of 14x14x14cm, so I had to split the parts in quarters to lay it out of the bed. I could only print 2 quarters at a time.
