Building An Integrated Eyecare Service (6 Feb 2024)
Eyecare is delivered across many different settings in the United Kingdom. Historically, these have operated somewhat in siloes with little shared care or effective communication between colleagues in different organisations. In this talk, the speaker will look at the current status of their services in England and describe the programme of work that is striving to coordinate the system across wide geographies. This will include the team's work to digitise the system - not just by implementing digital platforms, but by providing digitally enabled models of care. He will also describe their work to embed the use of data at the heart of everything they do in order to build a "learning healthcare system" - one that continuously strives to use data to understand and improve its services.
