Multiple strategies to slow myopia are currently available and are increasingly becoming
mainstream. However, it is still of interest to explore strategies that provide improved
efficacy, improve applicability to practice, and deliver benefits such as reduced risk of
adverse effects. Prof Padmaja’s talk will cover two areas: a) the utility of axial length
measurements in managing myopia, including observations related to axial length
reversal, and b) explorations on the use of low-concentration atropine in combination with
caffeine for managing myopia.
