Top 5 Things We Still Struggle With As We Celebrate ADA Day
Happy #ADA day and #disabilitypride month.
34 Years ago today the American Disabilities Act was passed. It was a day that came about due to the hard work of many advocates. However, it was only the start. Every day, Lilly struggles with inaccessible areas. Even new construction is not guaranteed to be accessible.
Plus, people park in the handicap spot. They reserve handicap rooms even though they don't need them (Heard about one person who was doing that for their bike storage!)
So please remember to be inclusive. Make your places accessible. Let Lilly have all the same opportunities that you would have.
