Last year, we took the plucky Toyota bZ4x to Silverstone. It may not have won the race, but it won our hearts ❤
Robust, stylish and with all-wheel-drive capabilities, the all-electric Toyota bZ4X SUV crossover is ready for anything you can throw at it.
The innovative bZ4X sits between the smaller C-HR and the larger RAV4 in the Toyota line-up.
While it shares the same electric modular platform as the Subaru Solterra, it’s also a rival to the likes of the Skoda Enyaq, Nissan Ariya and the Volkswagen ID.4.
And with a range of up to 286 miles on a single full charge, as well as 150 kW fast-charging nous, the bZ4X should be extremely easy to live with.
If you’re wondering what the ‘bZ’ name tag stands for, it means ‘Beyond Zero’ emissions. And what it means for business lease customers is that you can expect to pay just 2% Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax for the year 2022-23 if you opt for a bZ4X as a company car.
Meanwhile the bZ4X doesn’t just give you exceptionally eye-catching looks, complete with a sleek coupe-like sloping roofline, there’s also a full suite of safety systems fitted on even the base models.
As standard, on first-rung ‘Pure’ models, you can enjoy Lane Departure Alert with Steering Control, Lane Trace Assist, Emergency Driving Stop System, Automatic Rear Flashing Hazard Lights, a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian, Cyclist & Motorbike Detection, Front-to-front Oncoming Car & Motorbike daytime detection, Emergency steering Assist, Intersection Turn Assist, and Road Sign Assist.
Opt for a top-of-the-range ‘Vision’ variant and you’ll get goodies such as parking sensors with automatic braking as well as Toyota’s ‘Remote Controlled Advanced Parking Assist’, which means it’ll park itself at the touch of a button.
The cabin is also well equipped as standard, with ‘Pure’ models boasting dual zone air con, an 8 inch infotainment touchscreen, full phone connectivity and cloud-based sat nav.
