How to Delete Unnecessary Sitemaps in Google Search Console?
Step-by-Step Script:
Open Google Search Console and select your property.
Go to Sitemaps from the left menu.
Find the sitemap you want to remove under Submitted Sitemaps.
Click the three dots next to it and select Remove sitemap.
Confirm, and Google will stop using that sitemap.
Pro Tip: Removing doesn’t delete pages from the index. It just stops that sitemap from being read.
