This is the smallest powered hacksaw that I own and was presumably made for model engineering. It looks fast but cuts slow (I will upload another video showing it cutting metal) but I like it for its compact size. It takes standard hacksaw blades and has no blade tensioning mechanism, but this could easily be added. The immersion heater switch needs to go and be replaced with proper motor switch gear. Also, I don't like the position of the switch so close to the partly guarded drive mechanism. The short A-section belt doesn't seem particularly suited to this application but works well enough.
