Here's how to set up and use the free Canon CAMERA CONNECT app, which will simplify the life of the modern photographer! It will connect your Canon EOS R6 / R5 camera to your mobile device via Wi-Fi and allow you to remotely control your camera. It doesn't matter if your operating system is iOS or Android.
Why do you need this application, you ask? Imagine the first situation, you are in the field and you need to share a photo, for example, on Instagram, Facebook, Telegram. Easily! You download images and even video files directly to your phone wirelessly. You can also send RAW files that can be edited, for example, in the mobile version of Adobe Lightroom. It is this Canon app that makes it easy for me to back up my images.
Now imagine the second situation - you want to control your camera, but do not have the opportunity to constantly be near it and change the settings. Use your phone as a remote control! Vary exposure, aperture, shutter speed, and more. For example, I like to shoot self-portraits this way.
