Hello my name is Sergey. Welcome to the channel. I am undoubtedly pleased to use the Canon R6 mirrorless camera, interact with its excellent electronic viewfinder, the setting of which I will show in a separate video, enjoy excellent autofocus, record 4K video at 60 frames per second. When you get a taste, in front of you is a model or landscape with a wonderful light-and-tone pattern, and your battery runs out so quickly.

As much as you can count on with the standard configuration, i.e. without the Canon BG-R10 battery pack mentioned at the beginning of the video, that's 790 frames from the production screen - Power saving. And 590 frames from the production screen - Smoothness. I took this mode not just as an additional bonus, but as a real gift, I hope you too! We go in, select item 5 with a key, activate Eco-mode on the 2nd tab. The screen brightness is now dimmed if the camera is not used for two seconds. About ten seconds after the brightness decreases, the screen turns off. To set the screen and prepare for shooting when you turn off the screen, just turn the shutter button halfway. It's that simple!
If you are the owner of two batteries and an authorized BG-R10 unit, then you are in a privileged position. With the screen production system - Energy saving and Screen shooting method, you shoot 1020 shots, and with the viewfinder - 750. I don't have an additional battery and battery pack yet, so the numbers 1020 and 750 are taken from the advanced manual.
In the video we will take a look at the performance of the Canon EOS R6 under certain conditions (temperature, charge) and the approximate number of frames. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that this is an approximate number of frames. An elementary long-lasting shutter release button halves the number of shots.
And the worst thing that you will hear from me today is that the lens is powered by the camera battery for its operation. Some lenses may drain the battery faster than others.
As you might guess, it is difficult to achieve ideal conditions, for example, higher or lower ambient temperature limits the performance of the camera. In addition, over time, poor battery performance.

To set the size of the camera's operating time, I will help you configure a few more parameters. Let's start with the Image Stabilizer. This mode provides effective stabilization even if the lens is not equipped with an Image Stabilizer (Image Stabilizer) function and I plan to shoot a separate video about this, but for now, we will disable it as it will reduce the battery power.
We go to the first menu item, open tab 7, IS Mode - disable.
We'll have to stop using wireless. By the way, there is already a video about this on the channel, available in the tooltip. This is another useful function that allows you to use your smartphone and computer as a remote control, an additional screen for an image, an image, and so on. But activating Wi-Fi and Bluetooth will reduce battery life, hence the number of shots I mentioned earlier.
Let's check the settings. Menu, item 4, airplane mode - enable.
My next favorite feature that I have to part with for a while is Continuous AF. It maintains overall focus on the subject. The camera is ready to button to focus immediately after releasing the shutter halfway.
2 menu item, 1 tab, Continuous AF - disable. When set to [On], fewer shots are available as battery power is consumed by the lens drive.

Hope this video helped you get started with the Canon EOS R6 production camera. I will be glad to receive feedback in the comments, as well as wishes, what would you see in the next videos. Also, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who supports me. The channel already has over 100 subscribers! I am glad to share my knowledge and experience. Until next time!
