Want a cheap video camera for HDMI livestreaming with a capture card or HDMI video mixer? The Panasonic V160, recently updated to the V180 with optical stabilization, is a great choice and highly discounted. So I bought one! In this video I take a close look at the video quality compared to a video camera that costs 5 times as much. The review results of the Panasonic V160 compared to the Canon HF G20 / HF G25 are surprising.
Model tested: HC-V160EG-K new model HC-V180K
Update: Panasonic V180 now on Amazon.com http://amzn.to/2otm3md
In the video you'll see a test setup and some video magnification and at the end a video of me talking to the Panasonic V160 camera. Audio is recorded separately and not part of this test.
The V160 can be powered by USB power packs, has a clean HDMI output, manual controls and uses SD cards. It's compact.
