Previously, I had tried using hard styrofoam to create a door stopper but the end result is disaster! The hard styrofoam had deformed over multiple usage causing it to break off.
I decided to use my 3D printer to create the door stopper & it works fine but I think hard that not everyone know how to use a 3D software to create their own STL file & not everyone have their own 3D printer hence this video to use alternative & cheap eraser to create the door stopper.
Items needed.
1. Cheap long eraser (without the plastic wrapping)
2. Neodymium magnet x 3 (You can buy from lazada, shopee, amazon, ebay, or any online shop - Recommended N52 Super Strong Neodymium magnet)
3. Super glue (Recommend Oily strong adhesive glue water or any Superglue)
Reasons for this project is simple, my door sensor will auto switch on & off my devices when I close or open my door to save electricity.
My old foam door stopper seemed to wear & tear very quickly due to wind (ghost?) causing the door to slam close often...triggering my door sensor to switch on all my devices automatically when I'm not around wasting electricity defeating the smart devices set up.
Hence I need a reliable & cheap DIY door stopper as most door stopper have their problems. e.g Wear & tear for foam door stopper, floor door stopper will trap dust & dirt & etc.
