Tunnel Bridge: Death Valley Discoveries Ep. 7
On March 13, 2010, Steve Hall and Charlie Callagan hiked into the Grapevine Mountains and discovered Tunnel Bridge & White Slickenside (sharing co-discovery credit with Alan Van Valkenburg). Tunnel Bridge was the 9th major natural bridge to be discovered in Death Valley and White Slickenside was the largest slickenside which has ever been found in Death Valley. In January of 2024, Steve carries out a solo hike of 12 miles to return to the location of these discoveries and other nearby special places to share these with viewers in Death Valley Discoveries Episode 7. The parking area for Tunnel Bridge Canyon is located about 1 1/4 miles west of the parking area for Red Wall Canyon.
