cross country rehearsal
Prior to my solo 75 mile cross country I had to do a rehearsal with my CFI before he could endorse my log. My route is Lancaster to Smoketown to Pottstown to Reading to Deck and back to Lancaster. Today was very windy so I'm glad he was along as a security blanket. Both landings were left of center line as I let the cross wind shove me over. The first take off/landing was at Smoketown (KS37) and next was Pottstown (KN47). The short field take off at S37 was fun (first time I tried one) and the takeoff from N47 was downright scary. Just as I cleared the trees we were hit with some very uncomfortable turbulence. Just then the GoPro decided the heat was too much and turned off. Isn't that always the way? Got my endorsement and now just waiting for calmer winds to get the cross country done.
