This is mostly for those who don't often fly into towered airports. It started out as a trip to the practice area then back for some touch and goes. As I got within 3 miles of the field the traffic started picking up a lot. My one "extend your base" instruction had me so far out it took me 3 minutes at 65 knots to cross the threshold after turning final. My first landing, I was so intent on keeping the nose wheel up that I lost the center line. The next two were better and that last one I got the beloved "chirp" and the nose stayed up! It's days like this I don't envy ATC.
