More single-family homes are coming to Lee’s Summit! Orchard Woods located in north Lee’s Summit off of Northeast Lakewood Way, will have 34 lots, Woodland Oaks next to Legacy Park on the corner of Colbern and Blackwell will have 42 lots, and Bailey Farms in south Lee’s Summit off of Ranson Road will have three phases with over 200 lots. Construction of new homes is set to begin in 2024.

Luxury living and modern housing just north of Downtown Lee’s Summit is coming. Trilogy Apartments on the corner of Northwest Ward Road and Donovan Road will have 323 units, a clubhouse with a deluxe coffee bar, a large fitness studio with a rockclimbing wall and an outdoor terrace with a heated salt water pool and pickleball court.

Whataburger is expanding to south Lee’s Summit off of Missouri 150 highway and 291. The orange and white, circa-1950’s burger chain offers breakfast, lunch and dinner – from burgers and chicken sandwiches to biscuits and pancakes. It is slated to open in 2024.
01:06 DISCOVERY PARK: NE COLBERN ROAD & NE DOUGLAS STREET
The 3.9 million-square-foot mixed-use project, Discovery Park has begun. The 270-acre site near I-470 off of Northwest Colbern Road and Northeast Douglas Street will consist of retail, restaurants, office spaces, entertainment and luxury multi-family housing. It will also offer a one-of-a-kind Riverwalk district, more than five miles of nature trails, and a four-acre recreational lake to kayak and paddleboard. The first phase of the project, “The Village,” is set to begin construction in 2024.
