The infamous island of Iwo Jima was just the site of a new explosive volcanic eruption. This carved out a brand new more than 490 foot wide crater, alongside 4 other craters that were also more than 100 feet wide. Lava was also ejected during certain explosions, marking Iwo Jima's largest eruption of the 21st century. Today's video discusses the ongoing activity through the knowledge and analysis of a geologist.
