Surviveware Trauma EMT Shears with Non-Stick Coating Review
After dealing with my share of dull, gummy, dull scissors while trying to cut pieces of duct tape, sticky-back Velcro, or even old rags I told myself to try out some non-stick coated EMT shears. Well, I got some and my life is now complete! Okay...not "complete" but definitely a little easier.
This set of SURVIVEWARE Trauma EMT Shears have worked great for me in cutting through all types of materials. My days of wiping the sticky goo left on my old scissors with acetone are gone thanks to the carbon-fluoride coating that helps create a non-stick surface and reduces or eliminates stuck scissors. They are great to have in your first-aid kit, at work, at home, or even in your car to cut off your seat belt if you had a emergency and needed to get out quickly and safely.
These shears are 7.5" long and have a plastic handle and carbon-fluoride coated stainless steel blades. One blade is serrated and the other is honed sharp which creates a cutting surface that can cut through all types of material much easier and safer than traditional scissors. Speaking of safety, the ends of the shears are rounded off and include a tab to prevent accidentally cutting into skin while removing bandages or clothing.
