This video will show you how to change the default font in Google Docs.

When you create a new page in Google Docs, it comes with a certain font.

This is called the default font.

If you don't fancy this font, you will have to change it manually.

This could be annoying each time you open a new Google document.

But then there's a way to set the default font to your preference.

You can choose your preferred default font type, size and color.

Many think they can change the default font in Google Docs in Page Setup.

However, there isn't a font option there.

So, how do you set the default font in Google Docs?

Here are the steps on how to do it.

Open a blank document.

Type some text in it.

Change the font type, size and color.

Next, highlight the text and click on the dropdown arrow next to Normal text.

Select normal text and then update to match.

All the normal text on the page will be changed to the new font.

If you type new text, the font will also be your preferred font.

However, when you open a new page, the font will revert to the old default font.

So, how do you set the default font to apply to other new pages?

Again, highlight the text and then go to Format.

Choose Paragraph styles.

Then select options and save as my default styles.

Now when you open a new page, the default font will be in your preferred style.

That's how you change the default font in Google Docs.

Now, go ahead and give the steps a try.
