Stefan Theil on why online platforms lack accountability infrastructure
University of Cambridge Law Professor Stefan Theil offered his thoughts in response to Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Professor Nerissa C. Brown's question:
"Why do we have so much regulation when it comes to financial disclosures, ...but when it comes to...social media platforms,...we see less regulation in that space where...misinformation and disinformation can have a much greater...societal harm?"
