Yoel Roth excerpt from CODE 2023 Interview
In his recent interview with Kara Swisher at the 2023 CODE conference, hosted by @TheVerge, former Twitter Head of Trust and Safety, Yoel Roth noted his surprise that the post-Musk Twitter did not seem to act "rationally" as one might expect from an online platform.
“I wrote... [my New York Times op ed, dated 18 November 2022] expecting Twitter to behave rationally. I wrote this expecting a company that would play by the rules and pursue its self-interests. That was the company that I had known for eight years and that’s sort of how we expect large businesses to operate. And that’s not what happened at all.”
