Apple Pie Tart Recipe in Airfryer
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Preheat time: 10 minutes at 200°c
Baking time: 12-14 minutes 180°c
Serves: 2-4
Ingredients
For Dough
1 cup Flour
¼ cup Butter (chilled & cubed)
A pinch of salt
½ tsp Castor sugar
½ tsp Cinnamon powder
⅓ cup chilled Water
Kidney beans (for weight)
For Filling
2 Apples (peeled & chopped)
¼ cup Castor sugar
½ tsp Cinnamon powder
1 tsp Lemon juice
1 tsp Flour
For Icing
Milk (optional for brushing)
Honey for glazing
Process
For Dough
Preheat the Philips Airfryer for 10 minutes at 200°c.
In a bowl, add flour, butter, a pinch of salt and rub it well with the help of fingers.
Add castor sugar, cinnamon powder, chilled water and bind it together. Do not over knead the dough.
Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
Make a lemon size ball, place it in tart mold and shape it with the help of fingers.
Scrape out the excess dough with a knife and dock it with a fork.
Add kidney beans and place it in the philips airfryer.
Blind bake the tarts for 7-8 minutes at 180°c.
Keep it aside for further use.
For Filling
In a bowl, add apple, castor sugar, cinnamon powder, lemon juice, flour and mix it well.
Add the filling to the prepared tarts and lace it with the remaining dough.
Give it a milk wash and place it in the airfryer.
Bake it for 6-7 minutes at 180°c until golden in color.
Glaze it with honey and transfer it to a serving dish and serve hot.
