The Nazi regime and the Franco dictatorship left behind a large architectural legacy. What role does art have to play in the process of revealing the information contained in the remains of buildings associated with repression and how can it help to reconstruct the historical memory concealed within them?

A panel discussion with María Dolores Jiménez-Blanco, General Director of Fine Arts, Patrimony and Archives of Spain, and the artists Nicolás Combarro and Franz Wanner.

Introduction: Yara Sonseca Mas, Curator of the exhibition “Nicolás Combarro: Aufzeichnungen aus dem Untergrund” (MaximiliansForum) and Mirjam Zadoff (Munich Documentation Center for the History of National Socialism).
Moderated by Juliane Bischoff (Munich Documentation Center for the History of National Socialism)
