The angel Gabriel said, "O Muhammad, Allah SWT sends you greetings and orders you to invite people to Islam".
Of course, this command was a very heavy command where the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was required to face him directly to openly preach and invite the infidels of Quraish to embrace Islam. However, no matter how heavy it was, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) still carried it out.
At one time, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) climbed Mount Abu Qubais and shouted loudly, "Say, there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah."
That shout seemed to be the beginning of an invitation to the infidels of Quraish to worship Allah Subhanahu wata'ala and acknowledge the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as His messenger.
Meanwhile, news began to spread among them that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had brought a new teaching and religion, of course it made them worried.
One day, the chieftains of the Quraysh infidels gathered in Darun Nadwah which was the meeting hall of the Quraysh infidel leaders to discuss important matters. The place was founded by Qusay bin Kilab, who was the great-grandfather of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), namely Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abdul Muttalib bin Hashim bin Abdul Manaf bin Qusay bin Kilab.
Among the Quraysh infidel leaders who attended this meeting were Shaybah bin Rabi'ah, Walid bin Harith, Safwan bin Umayyah, Ka'ab bin Ashraf, Aswad bin Abdu Yahud, Sakhr bin Al-Harith and Kinanah bin Rabi'.
In that meeting they discussed the response to the invitation of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his Religion. Among them were those who said, "Indeed, Muhammad has insulted our god and invited us to a God we do not know. How can this be a trick, as if Muhammad told us not to worship your gods, which are idols, but to worship Allah the One and Only."
Some say, "Muhammad has invited us to worship a God we do not know. But he did not insult our gods".
But some also say, "Muhammad is a sorcerer and a liar."
Then it was their turn to ask al-Walid's opinion, but al-Walid only replied, "I can't say anything about this."
Hearing al-Walid's answer, they thought that al-Walid was defending and agreeing with what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, had done, so that anger swept over him, and he said, "Give me three days to take action."
