Hey Youtube,
I am back with another print video. This is the print of the Curiosity Rover (Mars Rover). The models were released by NASA and can be found at http://nasa3d.arc.nasa.gov/models/pri... if you want to print your own. I printed the small rover to try it out but I do want to come back to print the large rover when I get PLA in the future (and maybe a Hubble to two as well).
It printed in 13 parts and I decided to print them in two colours. These were all printed on my Sunhokey Prusa i3 3D Printer (2015 edition) at a 0.2mm layer height. Unfortunately I had changed some settings in my Slic3r configuration so these weren't the cleanest prints ever and I had a few parts fail which I had to reprint. I have loaded back the old settings so hopefully my prints in the future should come out sharper.
I want to apologize for the lateness of this video and it just being a print time-lapse. I was on vacation and then back to work so last weekend I was not able to film the printer tuning video as planned. I hope to get that filmed this weekend and posted (with any luck) early next week. Sorry again for missing the goal.
As always If you have any questions about the video, or helpful recommendations, please leave a comment below! Cheers!
-Alan
