Julieta Guzman's library story
The Library Foundation SD met Julieta in 2019, when she was nine years old, at the grand opening of the San Ysidro Library. Back then, she loved libraries and reading because they transported her to other worlds. Still an avid reader today—in both English and Spanish—Julieta is grateful for Library Foundation SD donors, whose support helps foster inclusive and accepting communities.
“I’m so thankful for those who support the library because they’ve created a community—a new community, an improved community.," Julieta said. "They’ve created an accepting and warm space for people to be in, where they feel accepted and seen by the books they read and the people they see around the library."
