Mermaid Bubble Bath Confetti is Extra Fun!
Learn how to make mermaid bubble bath confetti!! Don't be afraid to let your creativity run wild. There are endless options & themes for this project! This bath confetti has 3 main ingredients; bath bomb powder, bath salts, & bubble bar fish scales. It also has a few other fillers, like sprinkles, & décor. All of these ingredients combined look like bath “confetti”.
RECIPE: I took a mermaid bath bomb & broke it up into small pieces (this will be the base). To that, I added bath salts, bubble bar fish scales, and sprinkles. NOTE: If you wanted extra bubble bath power, simply add a tablespoon (or more) of sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (or sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium cocoyl isethionate) to the bath bomb powder! **Don’t overdo it on the candy sprinkles (no more than 10% of your total bath confetti). They are expensive & don't offer any real advantages in the tub! NOTE: Make sure everything is dry BEFORE adding to confetti mix. You want bath confetti to remain dry & clump-free so that it flows freely from the jar.**
ASSEMBLY: Grab a few jars & start filling how you want! I did it this way: 1 heaping spoon of bath bomb mix, then scales & colored salts (snuggled to the glass, facing out), REPEAT!
RESULTS: The fish scales rocked out on making bubbles!! The bath confetti turned the water to a brilliant ocean blue color and made it smell amazing! The salts sank to the bottom & the bath bomb powder & pieces remained at the top where they fizzed & foamed. I liked the confetti & the ideas that came to me during making it. IDEAS: This confetti would be PERFECT for birthday favors. Add a tag with something cute like, "Thanks for making Anna's birthday parts a SPLASH!"
