Mualani Tribal Chronicles Full | Where the Springs Return (Genshin Impact)
While wandering in the wilderness, you hear two tourists crying for help, and you and Paimon decide to aid them...
So this is quite the interesting new feature that they added, until I realized it's just a character story quest. I think they added this feature to sprinkle more flair in their Natlan debut, I personally like it. But I'm afraid I don't understand why they needed to time-gate the third acts for both Kinich and Xilonen it seems, with the exception of Mualani.
By the looks of it, the first two acts are of shorter portions and are the intro part, with the third act is where the major plot would really be. But I personally think this would be quite the bad move in terms of storytelling, as I think people would be quick to forget the first and second act. Especially with the Nanatzcayan, as from the looks of it, Xilonen would be in the next version. While the Act 1 and Act 2 from the Children of Echoes didn't exactly contain a lot of stuff, I think it's an important plot for what to expect for the third act.
In spite of that, this is a great quest. Not only was it a great story quest, but it also gave an decent glimpse of what makes each Tribe click in Natlan. As for some players who barely have the time, I think it's a clever to to actually make them play through and get an understanding of what the tribe represents. Because not all players are willing to interact with npcs unfortunately, and that's fine, not everyone has the time nor the interest to do so. But in the end, that's on them. Then again, everyone is playing this for a different reason, so it really depends on the person.
Putting all that aside, I genuinely love this quest, there was so many funny moments. Even though it was the cliche, "The real treasure was the friends we made along the way" so I was giggling a bit.
Mualani's mentor, Nuu, was awesome despite his limited screen time. Just straight up going Obi wan and taking the high ground, and dropping wisdom like the founder of their tribe.
The couple of scenes were Paimon was coughing due to choking on water made lost it lol. Well it wasn't supposed to be funny, but the way Corina Boettger voiced it was hilarious, I just had to repeat it. Karya slapping the breaks off Viramdra was funny, I thought she broke his neck in the process.
Now with Mualani, she's been really cool since the Archon Quest, and she was just a bundle of joy. So I decided to pull for in my alt account. To be quite honest, I'm already have a lot of characters in my current account, and I feel bad not using characters. That is why I have an alt account, so I can use the characters there, that I haven't built in my current one.
Despite being the usual optimistic and bubbly character, seeing her retort and have that fight on her was nice to see, as I needed that. Like live hard but fight hard. It's very Natlan-like in a sense, as these are people who fight the Abyss regularly. It gives the people of Natlan a very strong connection in that they have a strong bond even with their tribes' differences. This was shown in their Archon Quests, but I do love seeing them passionate about it.
Viramdra and Karya was an interesting pair. The former clearly has some issues, and for a good reason. Karya as Mualani said the only one who can talk through his self-destructive obsession. And Viramdra isn't entirely a bad egg, just misguided and severely lacking in social skills. I wish them well, it's obvious that Karya has a thing for Viramdra lol
Still, this illustrates a factor that the Akademiya can really devour you whole due to its rigorous and almost insurmountable system that has been going on for 500 years. Even for someone as wise as Nahida, leading the Akademiya through this new age requires a careful hand and a difficult task. Genshin college sure is rough with all the elements and magical crap around.
Also, that bit with the Melusine, Manaia, was quite funny wit that baby Koholasaur just being cute there. Neuvillette just wants his children to hydrate well, he is truly their ideal of the perfect father.
