Long story short, Minty Green died and it hurt the whole time it was dying. I still have all of the Minty Green videos to go through and they will be released at some point. Not enough hours in the day/days in the week/weeks in the month/insert other excuse here.
Anyway, meet Ruby Red, my 2007 GMC Envoy. Now Ruby Red here has a few problems that need to be fixed, which is good for you and me. Well, not really good for me because I have better things to do then work on my own car LOL.
First up is this repetitive P0496 code for Evap flow during non purge. This code has been cleared several times and keeps coming back. In this video I show you the diagnostic (very important) and the repair (not as important). The important thing to note here is don't waste your hard earned $20 on a purge valve if you can't get it to fail. A purge valve is the most likely (but not the only) possible fix. If you skip the diagnosis and the purge valve doesn't fix it, don't get mad at me. You'll probably get mad at me anyway so let me remind you that I told you so and am laughing at you for guessing and then getting mad even though I told you not to guess but you guessed anyway.
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for the next Ruby Red video where we learn 17 awesome facts about this stupid service tire monitor message.
The actual purge valve that was shown in this video:
