Hunter's Moon and Jupiter || Telescope View
The view of the Hunter's Moon and Jupiter through Celestron StarSense Explorer DX 102AZ. This view was recorded on 28 October 2023 from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The night had a 100% Full Moon (Hunter's Moon) and clear skies. Jupiter with his moons Europa, Ganymede, etc. was also visible. The Hunter’s Moon is the first full Moon to follow the Harvest Moon.
Why is it Hunter's Moon? European and Native American hunters would use the light of the Full Moon to track down their prey and stock up for the coming winter.
