Earth's Energy Budget | FWC CII.18
Earth's radiation budget or Earth's energy budget is described in terms of the radiation budget at the Earth's surface and the radiation budget at the top of the atmosphere. This is the annual global average earth radiation budget. We discuss the budget of shortwave radiation, longwave radiation, conduction and convection, latent heat of water phase changes and planet's albedo.
This video follows Chapter II (“Energy, radiation and earth’s energy budget”) of Fundamentals of Weather and Climate and is Lecture 18 in this series.
