“Road to the Sky” in Shiretoko Shari, Hokkaido, is a popular spot hidden behind. It is a straight road of about 18 kilometers that runs from Minehama in Shari Town to the Daiei area toward the Sea of Okhotsk. As seen from near the top of the hill, it is called by the nickname “Road to the Sky” because it looks as if the end of the road is heading “the sky”.
The surrounding area is a idyllic area where the fields expand, but it is a place where you can enjoy a large panorama quietly. It is a scenic route that boasts a high popularity not only for driving but also for touring bikers.
