Around the Tennoji station in Osaka, since the “Abeno Harukas” opened, the modern image has completely settled. However, in fact this surrounding area is quite historic land. “Shitenno-ji Temple” which became the origin of that name is Japan’s first full-scale Buddhist temple, a precious cultural heritage that Prince Shotoku built. Please try and taste the magnificent cathedral and the atmosphere of the precincts.
Many of the buildings and treasures are designated as important cultural properties and national treasures, and it will be a place unbearable for history lovers. Access is also convenient in about 10 minutes on foot from Tennoji.
